It would seem as though the Hogwarts grounds never ended, and instead just continued on and on, showing off new and impressive attractions; in this case...a duck pond! He had just settled down at the edge of it, leaning back onto his palms and watching the ducks float around the water, when he saw bread crumbs. Just as he was wishing he had brought something to feed them with, he suddenly found bread crumbs in his line of vision! The odds! Someone was throwing bread crumbs for the ducks!

As he looked over to his side, he saw a student around his age throwing in...muffin crumbs! "Got any to spare?" Cornelius asked with a friendly grin.
Well, it wasn't quite bread, but it sure seemed like the ducks had a liking for blueberry muffin crumbs. Paulie couldn't blame 'em, though. Blueberry was the best flavor. He was sorta caught up watching the beaks pecking away and eating the crumbs when he was pulled from his daze. Someone was speaking to him.

He turned and looked down to the source of the voice, though Paulie didn't recognize him. Not that it mattered of course, he was all for sharing a bit of crumbly muffin. "Yeah, sure," he said, returning the smile when he was met with one. "Uhh.." He didn't feel like holding the muffin for both of them, so he plopped down onto the rock and placed the pastry between them. "There we go." After taking some crumbs and throwing them in the pond, he gestured for the other boy to do the same. "I'm Paulie Foster, by the way." Better introduce himself before he forgot!
