It took Kacie a couple of moments to think of what to say. She wasn't into history all that much, but her mother and father had made sure she learned quite a bit over the years. She knew about the founders, but she never thought about why they included the lake. So it took her some time before she actually came up with her answer and raised her hand.

"A double defense against attackers. The lake on one side and the forest on the other. The perfect positions for a magical school to be concealed," she replied. "Not only was it for protection it could be used to teacher young witches, like myself, and wizards about the magical creatures that lives there. Annnndddd.... for fun."
