Lewis had been too focused on trying to read the title of the book the girl was holding to notice her notice him. So naturally, he winced slightly when she suddenly spoke to him. And not very nicely either. Or maybe that was just his perception, seeing as she had startled him.

Either way, he glanced up at her face and quite accidentally met her gaze for a moment before quickly averting it elsewhere. One of the ducks seemed pretty interesting."I...no, no, I don't. I'm sorry." He stammered, glancing back at her to make sure she saw that his apology was indeed sincere and that he really didn't need anything. Well, maybe the title of that book because it was going to drive him insane not knowing it but he wasn't about to ask for that. She didn't seem too pleased with his presence after all.

He nodded vigorously at her request and took a few steps to the side to get a little further away from her, since she clearly wanted to be alone. With one last look at her, Lewis went to sit down on the rocks, gazing at one of the ducks trying to catch something underwater. "You...don't mind me sitting here, though, right?" He suddenly realized that her request had maybe extended to him not being there at all. Lewis WAS going to leave if she wanted him to.
Sylia gave into one of her impulses and started to tap her thumb on the cover of the book. Not out of annoyance, no. Just out of sheer boredom. Hogwarts was supposed to be this haven, a magical place she had been dying to finally get into for years... and yet it has been a complete let down.

His wince snapped her back into the moment. Had she really sounded that harsh? Raising an eyebrow, his stuttering made her want to smile. Was he embarrassed? Maybe he was one of those shy boys she keeps bumping into around here. If Muggle Studies isn't busy they should teach a confidence boost class. Might shape some of these boys up. "Okay.." She drew out for a moment. What was with him.

Getting a better look at the boy as he inched away, she noticed he was quite a looker, not that she was getting any ideas. He looked like a brooder, something that would never mix well with her. She had enough brood in her to last her a lifetime. Flicking away a strand of curled hair, she listened as he talked again. "Tis not my land so you may sit wherever you like." If it was she would probably banish everyone from being here. Well, except if she had rally meetings here. This would make a nice calming spot for all the hot tempers she meets with.

She fiddled with the cover corners of her book, biting a pouty plump lip. She suddenly had the urge to wonder what he was doing here. "What is your name?" So I can make sure not to run into you around here. "If you don't mind me asking." He shouldn't. It's just his name she wants.
