"Now before we start I hope you have all familiarised yourselves with the class rules and I hope you all have your gloves with you. If not, please take this time to grab a pair from the stores cupboard," she said indicated the cupboard near the door opposite her.
She paused briefly to allow time for those students to get settled. "Now a few of you have asked about this ivy that is growing on the window panes... and for the record, they won't harm you, though they may attempt to wrap themselves around your ankles or your fingers should you allow them to." She gave a few of the leaves another gentle stroke as they reached out to her. "Now before we move deeper into the greenhouse, does anybody have any idea as to why there is little light in here?" OOC: The lesson has OFFICIALLY started, do not post your character arriving late unless you want to lose house points-- just pretend you were here the whole time, also no more chatting please, and DO NOT edit your posts/answers. Feel free to be as creative as you like with your response and I shall continue this lesson in approximately 12 hours. Zhenya raised her hand, " Professor I learned all about Photosynthesis where plants need the sun to give them energy to grow, but I also know that there are some plants, such as in the deep deep ocean or under ground who take their energy from other sources. But I don't think that is why it's dark in here. This plant I think is Devil's Snare, and it much prefers a darker and moist environment. It doesn't like sunlight or fire which is why it's dark in here, to promote its natural habitat - so to say," she said.
