Alyssa opened the door into the Greenhouse. She breathed in the scent of soil and the smells of the plants in the greenhouse. She quickly walked in and closed the door. She already had her work robes on and was ready to start cleaning up the place. She quickly walked over to the cupboard where all the tools were kept. She took out a broom, a pair of shears, a shovel, a spade, a dust pan, a watering can and a bucket and carried them over to the middle of the greenhouse. She put on her dragonhide gloves, picked up the shears and started clipping off the dead leaves and branches off the plants. She worked on all the plants before laying aside the pruner on the work table. Then she picked off the dead leaves lying in the flower beds and while she was doing that she removed one of her gloves to test the soil to make sure that it was moist enough. She took note of the flower beds that needed some extra watering before putting on her gloves and moving on to the next flower bed.

Once Alyssa was done cleaning up the flowerbeds, she picked up the bucket and the shovel and walked outside the greenhouse to the back of where the soil was. She shovelled some of the soil into the bucket and carried the bucket back inside the greenhouse. She then knelt down on the ground, and taking up the spade, she slowly filled those flowerbeds that required more soil. Once she had scooped the soil in. She leveled out the soil with her hands, patting it down firmly. After she had ensured that all the flowerbeds had sufficient soil in them, Alyssa pointed her wand into the watering can and said,"Aguamenti." Soon the watering can was filled with water. Picking up the can, Alyssa walked over to the flower beds she had noted earlier whose soil was a little dry and poured water onto them. She made sure that she didn't over water them. Once she was done, she laid the watering can next to the bucket and picked up the broom.

She started sweeping up and down the flowerbeds, sweeping up the dirt, dead leaves and fallen petals that were lying on the ground. Once she had formed a pile, she picked up the dust pan and swept the pile into it. She then carried the dust pan out to the back and emptied it onto the compost pile before returning back inside the Greenhouse. Alyssa knew that there was more that needed to be done, but when she looked at her watch, she noticed that it was almost time for dinner, so she quickly cleaned up the bucket and the tools that she used before placing them all back in the cupboard. As she made her way out of the greenhouse, she took one last look and promised herself that she would come back the next day to finish up her tasks. Alyssa quickly left the greenhouse making sure that she closed the door securely after her.
