Ella tried again to think of a good answer to give the professor. Alright, well if I was a plant and sitting in direct sunlight, I might get burnt...wait a minute!Ella smiled. She wasn't sure if she was on the right track but it was worth a try. "Professor, if these plants were in direct sunlight, would they burn? I mean their leaves? I know I get pretty burnt when I'm out in the sun with no protection." Did I just say that last part out loud?! Ella looked around, feeling like a fool.
