"You're more than welcome to use either of the greenhouses or gardens whenever you please, we have cupboards stocked with anything you might need, so you're more than welcome to keep your plants here or practice with some of th other ones." In fact... this was highly encouraged. "Uh huh... I see," she mused, though she didn't believe Louisa when she said it was nothing. It was clearly something... but at any rate it was none of her business. "Well if your friend ever needs to talk, then my door is always open."
She watched Louisa curiously, clearly the Ravenclaw was in a hurry to get back to... studying?.. maybe. "I suppose I'll see you in class."
It was so nice to have her lion cubs visit her, and Ari was such a sweet young girl. "Thank you dear, that's so sweet of you," she replied, smiling as brightly as ever. Chat? well of course they could chat. She ALWAYS had time for her students, and especially for her lions. Oohh and flowers! Seren felt her heart melt a bit, oh how she loved flowers. "Thank you, they're beautiful," she said taking them and giving them a sniff. Simply beautiful. "How was your holiday? get up to anything exciting?" she asked while taking a vase out of the cupboard behind her desk. "It's ok dear... but I prefer to see you smiling and cheerful."
It always broke her heard to see people sad or in pain.. and Seren did not deal with sadness or pain very well. She usualy ran from such things.
As Beatrice changed to topic to Lafay, Seren found herself confused. Engaged? Lafay? ... She rarely spoke to the woman, and tried to avoid her at all cost. It's not that she didn't like Lafay, it's just that the woman intimidated her. "I have no idea," she said simply.
As Presley rattled off names, Sren tried to think of whether or not she ws familiar with them. Unfortunately she was drawing blanks. Not a clue... but that didn't matter, the thing that mattered most was that Presley enjoyed her time abroad. "Well I'm glad you had a good time. Greece is a beautiful place..." which she would have to visit again some time soon.
As for the topic of her father... well Seren would love to give the man a piece of her mind, seriously, though really it wasn't her place. "Presley, you are a very smart and very talented witch, don't let your father tell you otherwise." At least Presley had her brother, the way she spoke about him, Seren could tell that he was a good man, and a great brother.
With all te talk of travelling abroad, Seren was reminded of her own recent tris abroad. "Oh I had a wonderful summer, spent a few weeks in Italy with Professor Hadley, then visited my mother in Wales and after that I spent a fair bit of time in Australia before retuning here." Her appatment in London had been severely neglected, which was why she was selling it. There was no reason for having a home if you were never there. "Brilliant, that would be greatly appreciated."
Turning her attention to the white ball of fluff, Seren smiled. Yes, he was not a plant, but he was as much a child to her as anything found in her greenhouses. It struck her as sort of strange that Alyssa would offer to eb a dog walker, and it was a sweet gesture. "Thank you for the offer, but I rather enjoy walking him myself.. it gives me an excuse to leave the office." Aside from her plants of course.
Yeah... the injuriess really were out of everyones control, though perhaps a few defensive flying sessions wouldn't do them ay harm. And of course she would cross her fingers and toes at the games... and cheer the heck out of it. Mmhhmm, Gryffindor would have a pep rally every match... or else. "I'll definitely keep that in mind, but of course I wouldn't want to distract you from Quidditch.. and your lessons." The last thing she wanted was to put too much pressure on her Captain, Gryffindor had a reputation to restore.
Closing the door behind them, Seren moved around to her desk and gestured for Gideon to take a seat. "Oh thank you, I realise it must have been a little overwhelming for a lot of students..." Gryffindors and Ravenclaws alike, apparently. "Madam Donovan will be sorely missed, and I hope, that I am worthy enough to fill her shoes." After all... they were rather spectacular shoes to fill. "Oh thank you, it's a pleasure to meet your aquaintence... uhh pardon, what was your name?"
Oh the youngins... they really were so sweet, it brought a smile to her face. "I hope my lessons live up to your expectations." Because if they didn't then she would want to know... so that she could improve on that. "How are you enhoying your time at Hogwarts so far? Settling in alright?" she asked. "Thank you Professor," Jezzabelle said smiling. "I think I will use greenhouse three as you suggested." As for the student garden she could potentially use that for something else she had been planning for a while now. "Oh, thank you so much," she said beaming now. She was worried that there would be trouble with this but it seemed she had found just the right person to talk about when it came to her babies. "When you say practice with the other ones, what plants do you have exactly?"
