Perfect!
Christopher was running out of options. He needed a safe place.
Normally at the beginning of the year, the library was completely empty, as no homework had been assigned. However, with the beginning of OWL year, it seemed like a hundred thousand students had managed to cram themselves in there all to get early preparation for the exams. As much as he valued grades and studying, which was very important to him, he just wanted to read. And with the dorms and common room filled up too, he couldn't think of any other place to go. So he went to the mirrors.
Of course he knew that the secret passages kept most students for showing up there, and even though it was a bit colder and hard to see, it was worth it. So he threw on a hoodie and went to check it out. However, upon arrival, he noticed another girl reading there.
Drats! She'd already gotten there first... and he didn't want to disturb her- he knew it could get really annoying. But it seemed empty enough and he would be good!
Shly, Christopher looked over at the girl around his age and, asked nervously,
"Erm... sorry to bother you... but can I read here? I don't want to disturb you...." That would be incredibly rude of him, not wouldn't it?
