SPOILER!!: Jezzabelle

"Plus, I can't really provide adequate care in the dorm anyway. Maybe a greenhouse that's empty I could use?" This was the question she had been building up to.

Smiling Seren nodded, "of course... though we don't have any empty greenhouses, but you're more than welcome to keep them in one of them or even in the student garden. Though personally I suggest greenhouse three." Hhmm.. seeing as Jezabelle was an avid gardener, and would likely spend a fair bit of time down here...
"You're more than welcome to use either of the greenhouses or gardens whenever you please, we have cupboards stocked with anything you might need, so you're more than welcome to keep your plants here or practice with some of th other ones." In fact... this was highly encouraged.

SPOILER!!: Louisa

Soon enough, though, the genuine bright face was nervously smiling as Bentley explained the changing. Circumstances. Significant events. The girl's mind was trying so hard to hide the nervousness to fit those words into the situation of her father. And to make things harder, the professor asked why. Swallowing, the girl blurted out, "N-nothing important really... it's just the...err.. I mean.. my friend." Yes, that was very brave and mature. Lie. "She's.. err.. we had this discussion. I wanted another opinion." Her mouth twitched into a smile, or a grimace, it depends on how observant you are to discover the truth behind that twitching. "Umm... th-thank you, Professor. F-for your time. I hope you find my presents useful." And all.

Louisa started backing away. It would be highly dangerous to be asked more questions, she might slip something out. And that would be a disaster. One hand over the door's knob, and the other clenched nervously by her side. She was still facing the professor for her permission to leave.

"Uh huh... I see," she mused, though she didn't believe Louisa when she said it was nothing. It was clearly something... but at any rate it was none of her business. "Well if your friend ever needs to talk, then my door is always open."
She watched Louisa curiously, clearly the Ravenclaw was in a hurry to get back to... studying?.. maybe. "I suppose I'll see you in class."

'Good day, Professor Bentley!' the girl greeted cheerfully, realizing she shouldn't have been nervous, since the Herbology Professor seemed to be one of the most approachable staff members.

Hoping that the woman remembered her, Ari didn't feel the need to introduce herself-that would've been awkward-so she got directly to the point. 'In fact, I just came here to congratulate you on becoming Head of Gryffindor, and to chat a bit if you're not too busy.' the girl explained. 'Oh, and these are for you.' she added, offering the flowers to Bentley, smiling sheepishly.

It was so nice to have her lion cubs visit her, and Ari was such a sweet young girl. "Thank you dear, that's so sweet of you," she replied, smiling as brightly as ever. Chat? well of course they could chat. She ALWAYS had time for her students, and especially for her lions. Oohh and flowers! Seren felt her heart melt a bit, oh how she loved flowers. "Thank you, they're beautiful," she said taking them and giving them a sniff. Simply beautiful.

"How was your holiday? get up to anything exciting?" she asked while taking a vase out of the cupboard behind her desk.

SPOILER!!: Beatrice

Time to shift to another topic correct? She didn't want to look anymore stupid than she was appearing now in front of Professor Bentley. "Anyway Professor, is Professor Lafay really engaged?" That was one of the most sought after news around the school and she was a bit curious, besides it would surely take of her mind from the previous subject.

She then saw that Professor Bentley summoned her teapot and with that, she smiled widely. No more hard feelings.

"It's ok dear... but I prefer to see you smiling and cheerful."
It always broke her heard to see people sad or in pain.. and Seren did not deal with sadness or pain very well. She usualy ran from such things.
As Beatrice changed to topic to Lafay, Seren found herself confused. Engaged? Lafay? ... She rarely spoke to the woman, and tried to avoid her at all cost. It's not that she didn't like Lafay, it's just that the woman intimidated her.
"I have no idea," she said simply.

SPOILER!!: Presley

Presley still had mixed feelings about that whole situation. Most of them good. "I had a wonderful time," she gushed. "Did you know Elliot Morganzo came with me to Egypt? And Luna came with me to Greece, which was a spur-of-the-moment trip last week, but I loved it. And my cousins in Washington have so much fun," Presley babbled on about all of her wonderful vacations, but froze instatnly when she proccessed the rest of the question. Her father.

"Well, I tried," she said honestly. And she had. "He got pretty upset because, you see, He wanted me to skip my third year. I talked to the Headmaster about it, and he thought it was a smarter idea if I didn't, since it's my first year of electives. He told me to talk to him again at the end of this year about skipping fourth. My father was kind of mad about that." Unable to remember if she'd told Bentley about that, Presley related the entire story.

"He says if I'm going to be a Ravenclaw, I might as well be smart." Presley blinked her eyes furiously. She didn't come in here expecting to cry, and she wasn't going to let it happen. As her first day back at Hogwarts, she was delightfully happy today, no matter what.

She pasted a smile back on and shrugged her shoulders. "I was on vacation for most of the summer, so I didn't have to see him much. Really, I just stayed with Leo when I was home." Sort of. Leo lived in London, and her father in Geneva, but what was distance really, if you had floo powder and apparition? "That's enough about me, how were your holidays, professor?

As Presley rattled off names, Sren tried to think of whether or not she ws familiar with them. Unfortunately she was drawing blanks. Not a clue... but that didn't matter, the thing that mattered most was that Presley enjoyed her time abroad. "Well I'm glad you had a good time. Greece is a beautiful place..." which she would have to visit again some time soon.

As for the topic of her father... well Seren would love to give the man a piece of her mind, seriously, though really it wasn't her place.
"Presley, you are a very smart and very talented witch, don't let your father tell you otherwise." At least Presley had her brother, the way she spoke about him, Seren could tell that he was a good man, and a great brother.

With all te talk of travelling abroad, Seren was reminded of her own recent tris abroad. "Oh I had a wonderful summer, spent a few weeks in Italy with Professor Hadley, then visited my mother in Wales and after that I spent a fair bit of time in Australia before retuning here." Her appatment in London had been severely neglected, which was why she was selling it. There was no reason for having a home if you were never there.

SPOILER!!: Alyssa

She leaned down to pat him and when he lay down scratch him on his tummy. "He has definitely grown since the last time I saw him, but he's still adorable." Alyssa stood up and smiled longingly at the dog. She wished that she could visit Professor Hadley and Bentley everyday just to play with her dogs. Then an idea hit her. "Uh Professor, would it be possible if I could take Caltex for walks? I walk my dogs and my neighbors dogs back home and I would love to help you take him for his walks, especially if you are busy with class or grading papers. I'll even clean up after him." Alyssa hoped that the Professor would allow her to do that. She might even suggest the same to Professor Hadley too.

"Brilliant, that would be greatly appreciated."

Turning her attention to the white ball of fluff, Seren smiled. Yes, he was not a plant, but he was as much a child to her as anything found in her greenhouses. It struck her as sort of strange that Alyssa would offer to eb a dog walker, and it was a sweet gesture.
"Thank you for the offer, but I rather enjoy walking him myself.. it gives me an excuse to leave the office." Aside from her plants of course.

SPOILER!!: Selina

She threw a smile out at her Head of House and took a deep breath, "Right... no ma'am. Got it."

When Bentley continued on she beamed at her Professor. She did not have to say all of those lovely things she had just said to Selina. It was really sweet of her and Selina did not exactly deserve the outward proclomation that her Professor was now giving to her. However, like it or not, Bentley had said those things to her and with a very genuine air.

She smirked, "Well, the injury thing I can't exactly control, but I will do my best. As for everything else... thanks Professor. I'm sorry I was so, well, jittery. I just didn't know what to say to you. Honestly, if you ever need me for anything just give me a shout." Maybe they should invest in a dog whistle. Hehe Selina the puppy.

Yeah... the injuriess really were out of everyones control, though perhaps a few defensive flying sessions wouldn't do them ay harm. And of course she would cross her fingers and toes at the games... and cheer the heck out of it. Mmhhmm, Gryffindor would have a pep rally every match... or else.

"I'll definitely keep that in mind, but of course I wouldn't want to distract you from Quidditch.. and your lessons." The last thing she wanted was to put too much pressure on her Captain, Gryffindor had a reputation to restore.

SPOILER!!: Gideon

Getting up to his feet, he slipped into the office as she stepped past to let him enter. At her question, the fifth year gathered the words he had been thinking in just minutes before.

"Well I wanted to come visit ye," he answered at first, turning to face her once he was inside. "And...to properly congradulate and welcome ye as our head of house." That is outside the hustle and bustle of the feast inbetween the hubbub of the staff table. "I had realized my first response to the news might have seemed a bit hesitant, and I wanted to assure it wasn't because of anything about you Professor...more because of the surprise over Madam Donovan's departure."

Closing the door behind them, Seren moved around to her desk and gestured for Gideon to take a seat. "Oh thank you, I realise it must have been a little overwhelming for a lot of students..." Gryffindors and Ravenclaws alike, apparently. "Madam Donovan will be sorely missed, and I hope, that I am worthy enough to fill her shoes." After all... they were rather spectacular shoes to fill.

SPOILER!!: Nate

Nate just knew that this would be his favorite subject because he was fascinated by plants and there ability.

"Oh thank you, it's a pleasure to meet your aquaintence... uhh pardon, what was your name?"
Oh the youngins... they really were so sweet, it brought a smile to her face.
"I hope my lessons live up to your expectations." Because if they didn't then she would want to know... so that she could improve on that.

"How are you enhoying your time at Hogwarts so far? Settling in alright?" she asked.
