AH. No, Max got it wrong. But Treyen still chuckled lightly at his words as he leaned against the wall. "Not my team." No. It was Hufflepuff's team. "My house's team. There's a difference. But, thank you, you guys were incredible." Treyen didn't own a Quidditch team, see? And he still took everything that was said to him rather literal. Like before he started Hogwarts.

Nod. And a slight blush. Kita was fast. She was also tough, and knocked him off his broom at that last game. No comments were made.

Pull off another powerful term? "Actually, Max...," he was being entirely honest, so get ready, "...what I think doesn't matter much. A team must be chosen first, and then practices need to be held...ask me that same question after Hufflepuff has played two games and I'll answer it. What I think still won't matter, except to those who wish to know." There was wisdom right there.

The Head Boy was being honest, though, because right now they had no team, so, there was no point.

Max was trying out, yes? Awesome. "The Ravenclaw Captain will be happy to see your name on the try outs board, I'm sure." Funny how he failed to say 'girlfriend'. "I'm trying out this time." Unlike last year. "And hoping to get a spot on the team." You never knew, new talent was always around the corner.

Home? Treyen smiled oh-so-nicely, "It'll always be home." And...Gryffindor just lost points. Niiiiice.

Max found Treyen to be very... baffling. Yes, it was technically his house's team, but HE was a part of it! Max thought it was weird for Treyen to be so picky toward his word choice. He felt as though Treyen was trying too hard to be humble and wise. "Okay..." he responded slowly, shrugging his shoulders and looking away from Treyen for the time being.

It was so bizarre, talking to Ellie's boyfriend. He... didn't seem to be anything like Ellie. Max believed Ellie would have burst with optimism and pride for her team, even if she hadn't been captain, and 'challenged,' in a lighthearted tone, the opposition to dare to beat them. Treyen's lack of outspoken optimism was a bit disheartening. Good, maybe. Maybe he knew something about the Hufflepuff students Max didn't know. Max, on the other hand, had the utmost confidence in the Ravenclaw team that didn't even exist yet. He knew it was going to be good.

"She will be," Max replied all too quickly, smiling. "I mean, I told her I wasn't trying out - y'know, as a joke - and she tried to murder me with her fork. So, I mean, I'd say she'll be pretty happy." Happy. "And I don't think you need to hope. You're big, bad Treyen! You're very talented. You'll make it. I'm... sure Ellie will love the opportunity for us to beat you guys this time." Though Ellie was loving, Max knew how much Quidditch meant to her. She couldn't be thrilled that her boyfriend's team beat them twice last term. Revenge was coming.

Home indeed, Treyen. Home indeed.
