Oh up. Aspen slowly turned her attention UP. She knew the question was meant to ask her what was going on, what was she doing, how were things. But what WAS up?

Birds?

That made her think of Divination. That class was so hard...

"Nothing," Aspen answered again, but this time with a giant smile. Even she hadn't missed the GIANT pause in between Taryn's question and her answer. Aspen KNEW she thought about things a BIT too much. She couldn't help it. And thankfully, Taryn didn't seem to mind and usually had enough to say to fill in the weird gaps.

"I was thinking about the Inner Outer Clubhouse thing. You and August and me and ... a Hufflepuff."

"Yeah. That's the worst part. It's not the same in the Common Room." Hmm. "Want to convert to Slytherinism?" She asked hopefully, grinning at her friend.

Yes? Maybe?

Sigh.

Taryn had almost forgotten about that conversation in the treehouse about the Inter House Common Room.. or whatever they were calling it now. "Yeah, but do you know any COOL Hufflepuffs?" Taryn wasn't sure if she did.
