Meh, she felt like a nerd for being here so early into the year. But whatever. She liked books, so who was she to complain if she was surrounded by the, right?
So, she plopped herself down onto one of the comfy arm chairs that was directly under a particularly pretty window, kicked her shoes off - she didn't want to get in trouble of getting the upholstery dirty - and sat crossed-legged on the surprisingly roomy seat, cracked her book open and began to read.
Christopher had been in the library all day and it felt AMAZING. He had been waiting all summer to return to school to see his friends, his house, even his teachers and classes, but there was almost nothing he missed more than the Hogwarts school library. Other than his four poster bed of course, which was heaven in a mattress.
Curled up in a chair, he sat comfortably, books scattered all around him. His usual afternoon activity. Even though his favourite was Shakespeare, he decided to mix it up, as almost a metaphor for mixing things up this year, and picked up some Victor Hugo. It was the perfect start to the year.
Suddenly, he was snapped out of his book when he heard a small thud quite close by to his seat.
Who else would be in the library so early in the year? Normally it was just him and a few other older students trying to cram in early studying, but he didn't see a textbook. Just a novel. With golden hair behind it. Wait a minute... Was that who he thought it was?
"Cass?" he asked sounding genuinely suprised.
"What are you doing here?"
