Sophie went skipping to the first years dormitory and opened the door. She saw Jessie already unpacking her stuff and smiled at her. "Hey there, Jessie! You're fast!" she said while going to reach her own trunk. When she got to it, she changed her mind. She didn't feel like unpacking now. "What's up?" she said going to Jessie's bed and sitting by her new friend.
"Hey, Sophie! I'm just winding down. It's been quite an exciting day, almost missing the Hogwarts Express, getting sorted, meeting new people! So much going on!" She laughed. It had been a good day! And what a better way to end the perfect day than with a new friend? Jessie baby snowy owl hooted at her. "Oh, hey there, boy! I forgot to feed you, didn't I?" Jessie slipped some owl food into his cage before turning back to Sophie. "You know, he still doesn't have a name! I've been wracking my brain since I got him and I can't come up with a good one!" She pouted as the owl in question nibbled her finger.
