It happened in two seconds. One minute the duck was within his grasp and the next it was flapping away...from him because of some loud noise. He hung his head in disappointed from a few seconds before turning to face who had interrupted him. Hufflepuff Kid? He wouldn't be for long so the boy had better not get used to it. That Treyen boy was suppose to take him to get resorted.
He frowned." Well I was trying to catch the ducks but you scared them away!"
He folded his arms across his chest.
Oh nooooo! Another crazy hufflepuff girl. There was just no escaping them. They were going to be the end of him, he knew it already and they were only one day into the school term. Luckily..well unluckily for him, he wasn't trying to catch ducks any more. He turned his attention to her...briefly.
"You know you don't have to be that loud! I can hear you perfectly fine! Though I'd rather NOT hear you, especially if you plan on popping my eardrums." No he would not deal with anymore HufflePuff girls.
Thomas looked from the duck that was flapping itself away in a panic back to the Hufflepuff and he frowned just as the kid was also doing.

The frown faded and a small amused smile found it's way onto Tom's face for just a second before that disappeared as well. “You ain' really goin' 'bou' it in the right way, kid.” He replied knowingly. “I fink...” and he thought long and hard for a good few minutes.. “..you should be finkin' 'bou' settin' a trap.”
