When she felt something crawl on her sleeve. She could have screamed if the chameleon camouflaged the color of her robes but since she saw it, she picked it up. "She's well behaved unlike some I knew," she commented. She could remember her younger brother's chameleon and it always freaks Tenn whenever she finds it crawling under her covers. "I hope she won't crawl under my covers too," she told Daisy.
”I talk to them enough,” Daisy said, unwilling to admit she probably talked to them more the most people her age. They came in handy when you were particularly stumped about something. Most of them had a library of knowledge if you only were polite enough to ask.

Astrid was letting out a weird purring noise. “Umm…” Daisy made a funny face at the chameleon-newt and then shook her head. Usually he didn’t take to people so well and by most people she meant her brothers, but then, who would blame Astrid? Her brother’s were nuts. “He shouldn’t,” she said shoving her socks down around her ankles and scratching lower on her calf. “Just don’t leave any licorice in your sheets and you should be good.”

There a hissing noise and Daisy knew that didn’t come from Astrid. It came from behind her. She turned in her chair and peered over the top at a younger girl sitting in a chair. “Excuse me,” she stated raising one eyebrow. “But did you just hiss?”
