”Donuts?” It took Daisy a moment to get the connection. “Oh…no no…they’re monks...like priests.” For the life of her, Daisy couldn’t remember if Tenn had a muggle background or not, but hoped that the at least knew what a priest was. “They’re quite a chatty bunch. You can find them on the 5th floor near the trusty suits of armor.” She left out that they tended to imbibe in a bit too much mead. “You can learn a lot about herbs from them. Comes in handy when you have to do a potions essay.”
She yawned and plopped herself down on a sofa near the fire. She kicked off her shoes and then scratched around the tops of her socks. Man wool was itchy. Again, she had forgotten to buy new socks while in Diagon Alley. “Astrid seems to like you,” she said watching Tenn with the chameleon-newt. It had turned a bright red color, choosing not to blend in with the black of Tenn’s robes like he usually did.
"Oh!" Daisy told her about the monks on the fifth floor.
"I thought it has something to do with sweets," she replied. All she could think now is treats. But glad she had learned something new about the portraits at the castle. She might consider checking that one if she finds time.
"So you often talk to them, eh?" she asked her friend.
When she felt something crawl on her sleeve. She could have screamed if the chameleon camouflaged the color of her robes but since she saw it, she picked it up.
"She's well behaved unlike some I knew," she commented. She could remember her younger brother's chameleon and it always freaks Tenn whenever she finds it crawling under her covers.
"I hope she won't crawl under my covers too," she told Daisy.
