When Cody heard her name ring through the Hall, she took a deep breath and held her head high. She was pretty positive of where she would be but she didn't want to jinx it. She took a slow turn to sit on the stool and looked out at the crowd before her. She could feel her body tingling with nerves, but she tensed up at the sound of the Sorting Hat's voice in her head.

It felt like forever and yet no time at all when the Hat shouted SLYTHERIN!

Relieved, Cody stood up and smugly walked to her new official seat among the other Slytherins. She smiled happily and watched the rest of her year get Sorted.
