Alyssa wearily entered the 3rd Year Girl's Dormitory. It was empty right now but she hoped that it would soon be filled by her friends. Alyssa picked the bed nearest to the window and unpacked her trunk. She placed her clothes in the dresser and her study materials and books on the desk next to her bed. She then looked at the other stuff in her trunk and decided that she was too tired to do the rest, so she closed her trunk, shoved it under her bed and promised herself that she would finish unpacking the next day.

Alyssa lay on her bed and stared at the ceiling. She was tired but sleep wouldn't come. So much had happened ever since she left Hogwarts for home at the end of last term. She thought of the friends that she wouldn't be seeing this term. KITA. That was the first name that came to mind. Alyssa never imagined that her Quidditch Captain would end up being her best friend and confidant. She was definitely going to miss talking with her. Alyssa sighed. After all that had happened over the Summer, she hoped that the new term would be a stress and drama free one. She definitely could not handle any more heart breaks.
