He wandered up to the entrance hall and made his way to the hourglasses. Obviously they were empty, since term hadn't even begun yet, but he was pretty sure this was the first time since he'd been here that there weren't any NEGATIVE points on the board. WHOA. Call the Prophet! He paused and looked at them just a bit longer, trying to visualize what the Hufflepuff hourglass would look like if it was full. Not that he'd ever gotten a chance to see it that way...
The Entrance Hall was home to the hourglasses and thankfully the Gryffindor one was not in negatives. Last term, if he remembered right, his house started the term off by losing points before the Feast was even through. How on Earth that happened, he would never know.
As he approached the things he noticed there was another student already there, probably noticing the same thing. Wait...that was Alex Greingoth.
"Hey Alex, day-dreaming of a day Hufflepuff could beat Gryffindor for the House Cup?" he teased with a mischevious grin. He wasn't usually one for trash talking but he had been hanging out with Selina Skylar too much.
