When Amelia spotted Zayden sitting at a desk at the back of the library, she wasn’t surprised; she knew that he wouldn’t want anyone to hear him struggle with words.

“Hey, baby.” She kissed him as she took a seat beside him. “What do you want to start with?”

“Charms. I have a hard time with some of the spells.” And he felt stupid, but he knew she wouldn’t judge him like everyone else had done.

She nodded now before pulling the textbook over to her. “Just tell me which ones are hard, and we can work on the pronunciations.”
