How many times had she been shouted down by Nate and Pam over the summer for hinting that the Blacks should move out and find another place to stay? She couldn't remember. But she knew it was too many times. "Too persistent, the both of you," she groaned, rubbing her temples. She looked at Pam, knowing she owed her an apology. "I'm sorry. It was a stupid thing to say, I know you care about your parents." She'd seen it over the holidays, and felt insanely envious. Pam and her parents were a happy family unit. Jez's own parents hadn't cared much, and if they did they hadn't let on. "I'm really sorry," she said softly. Then she sat bolt upright. "We should send an owl to your parents telling them to check the food! If Team Wolf could get poison or whatever it was into a soup then they could easily have contaminated other foods too!"
