Food was where it was at if you asked Inez. The woman made he way over to the long tables ladened with food, took a plate, and began to take a few pieces of cheese and a chocolate covered strawberry or two. Corin had dressed in a hurry. The past few days have been hectic to put things mildly. He tried his best to stay neutral during the Cult's reign but the chaotic standoff within the Ministry wasnt something that couldnt be easily ignored.
Or the fact that his own boss was neck deep in the Cult's business.
The return to the hectic pace meant certain things had to be sacrificed. Like meals. Right he's thankful for the event. It means he can finally eat and do his job at the same time.
He saw a lady going about her business at the buffet table. He picked up the plate and made his way towards the main course, giving the lady a polite "Hello". He doesnt remember seeing her around this place before hmm. "Would you recommend anything from this spread?" Ugh, small talk, not quite his specialty. |
