Oh well, it's the way of life.
Suddenly, Joanna realised that Nessie's face turned from happy and excited to very serious. Probably she didn't enjoy the summer, so Joanna shouldn't probably mention the summer holidays. "Away," Joanna thought to herself, "probably she wasn't in England, so maybe her vacation didn't go so well, as she wanted it to."
"Oh... My holiday was great," the fourth year began, "I was on a week vacation, at San Fransisco, and the rest of the summer I spent at home, in Alaska." Yep, it was another normal summer. Joanna smiled back, asking another question, "Are you excited. For another year here?" Joanna already knows how she feels about another year. EXCITED!
Puting back on her smile, Nessie was gratefull that Joanna stopped asking questions about her summer. It wasn't a topic that needed to be talked about for now. As Nessie listened to what Joanna had that summer, she smiled even more. It was good to know that at least somone at Hogwarts had enjoyed there summer.
San Fransisco? Nessie had never been there, but she knew it was in America which was where Ness had always dreamed of going.
"Wow that must have been amazing." she said trying to picture what San Fransisco was like.
"You live in Alaska?" asked Ness a little surprised. She had never really met someone that lived in Alaska and it sounded like quite an interesting place.
Biting her lips, Ness hesitated how to answer Joanna's question. Yes she was excited, but she was also nervous. Her last two years hadn't been the bestand so she was hoping her third would be better, but she could never be certain.
"I don't know, I have mixed feelings about this year." she said truthfully.
"How about you?" she asked.
