Gideon followed Kurumi up to the staff table. The Lion table feeling a little constrained at the moment and the 5th year needing a distraction from his whirlwind of a sister and the inevitable drama that would likely insue now that Elektra was back at Hogwarts. That is...if what had happened at Hogsmeade and elsewhere was any indication.
He didn't speak at first, meerly listening to what was being said and awaiting his turn as he decided what to say. "Good evening Professors...Headmaster," he greeted when his mouth finally opened up to speak, giving a polite nod to them. Gideon was debating adding a welcome to the new faces, however what Kurumi had said to Professor Bentley had brought him up a little short.
Work with her?...welcome her to Gryffindor?...some ideas to run past her?
Wait...Professor Bentley was to be their head of House? So Madam Donovan really was gone.
"Um...congradulations Professor Bentley," offering the woman a genuine smile despite him seeming hesitant. Granted he would miss the librarian but the herbology professor was a favorite of his own as well. If it was indeed true, he would look forward to working with her for certain.
