Laura looked around the hall, it was huge so huge in fact she was sure that this must have once been a house on it's own and then they had made it into a castle, seriously if this was the size of every room in this castle, surely when you got to the top of the castle you would be able to touch the moon.

Laura had been half listening as other people got sorted before her, and then her name was called out she was sure now that she wouldn't be sorted, she would sit there and nothing would happen, after all it was just a hat and of course hats couldn't talk.

Laura walked nervously to the stool and sighed when the hat was place on her head now she just had to wait for the Professor to take it off and tell her what house she was in, she was shocked when the hat started to speak to her, saying that it knew there was only one house for her and that she would do well in that house and that house was "HUFFLEPUFF" Laura felt the hat being taken off her head, she wasn't happy she had been told things about Hufflepuff coming last in the house cup for a few years running, surely she had the right to appeal against this choice, well saying that it would probably be best to meet some of the Hufflepuff people before saying anything, so she smiled as she looked at her sister and then ran off to join the others hoping her sister would soon be following her.
