Rowena turned her unblinking blue eyes to Jayden. "Pleasure, I'm sure," she said with a hint of sarcasm. Jez rolled her eyes.

"Yeah, I feel the same way..." Nate muttered to Jayden, eyeing the haughty cat. It was odd that their eyes matched, him and Rowena. Not bad, per say, but definitely odd. A thought struck him as he peered into the blue depths of Rowena's proud, icy eyes. "Hey Jez, where was Rowena all summer? It's a wonder she's alive," he asked quietly. He didn't need Jayden asking questions, let alone the first year in the compartment...
