It didn't matter that they were no longer dating. Yeah it would have been nice if he had told her the truth back then in the summer. She still would have gotten mad, but she would have come around and they would still be friends. Now she had just made it worse by saying that she never wanted to talk with him again. How could she not do that? They were in the same House and she was bound to see him in classes and at the Quidditch games. Alyssa sighed and sat down on the nearest empty bench she could find. She bent down and put her head in her hands. What was she to do?
After a while she looked up and turned to where Aaron was still standing talking to an older girl. 'Should I go up and apologize for slapping him? What will he say to me?'Alyssa thought to herself. After a couple moments of thought, she got up from the bench and walked back over to him.
"Erm...Aaron. I'm sorry I slapped you. I overeacted. I know I said that I didn't want to talk with you again but I still do. I still consider you my friend, even though you may not want to be, after what I just did to you. Anyway, I hope that the girl makes you happy. Can we still be friends?" Alyssa said to Aaron, sticking out her hand.
Aaron was still petting his sore cheek when he saw Alyssa disappear into the crowd, he would remind himself to stay away from her for a little bit, he liked his face too much to risk walking around with a red hand across it.
His cheek hurt, a lot. But it was even worse that she was NEVER going to talk to her again. And not just because she was smart and could obviously help him with his homework.. Alyssa was a friend. Even after what he had done
which wasn't done on purpose to her.
He would have to go and talk to her sooner or later..
Aaron stared at Alyssa in confusion as she made her way back over to him and blurted out a lot of stuff.
'I- I'm still your friend?' He rolled his eyes dramatically,
'and they call ME dumb!' What he did was bad, but she was nice enough to be friends even now. Instead of shaking her hand he gave her an awkward hug, quickly letting go again.

After all, anything was better than home tutoring... and Krys had been to Hogwarts and - however much he tried to scare her - she had seen the way he talked about it... he'd clearly loved his time there.
Aurora watched the scene unfold, slightly wide eyed. Well... turned out this guy was a bit of a player. Nice... She really didn't want to get involved though and took a step back. Then, when he turned back and spoke to her, she shook her head almost imperceptibly. "Never happened." she said. "Anyway, any particular reason you wanted to know if I was scared..?" she asked, wondering if he still cared.
Well... so much for Aaron's logic today. Slytherins weren't fearless. That were the Gryffindors.
'Right, right. Lions.' He shook his head foolishly, he figured he was supposed to know house traits, considering this was his sixth year already. But the Slytherins weren't scared either? Well... This one wasn't.
'Well... nevermiiiiind.' He grinned, blaming his head for always letting things seem a lot more logical before he actually did them.
'I just figured... you know, you might be scared. Or something. Well.. anywayyyy...' Best not to mention he still thought Slytherins were mildly terrifying. Even this girl, and she had to be at least a year younger than Aaron himself was.
