But they had been too fast and so he didn't even have time to do anything, not even close his eyes.
And then they just went through.
Happily smiling back at Kurumi, Lewis let his green eyes wander around the platform, staring at everything in wonder. They'd actually done it. "And we didn't even run into anybody." He commented with a small smirk at the Prefect next to him, obviously referring to the story she had just told him.
Upon looking back at her, his eyes fell on her Prefect badge again - what was red again? Gryffindor? - and he bit his lip. She probably had some place to be. Was he taking up her time? "Well...uhm...thank you." Lewis said quietly, not really looking at her. "Without you I'd probably still be standing out there, staring at the wall." He chuckled softly before glancing back up at her with a smile.
He was giving her the chance to leave if she wanted or had to. He'd be fine. Or something.
Kurumi threw some of her black hair over her shoulders and shot him a confident look with her violet eyes. "
See, you are already better off than I was my first year," she laughed. He also didn't seem to be as freaked out about all the magical elements around him as she had been. Perhaps that meant that he came from a pureblood background, they seemed to be the ones most confident in these surroundings. Then again, Lewis looked anything but confident.
Removing her gaze from him, Kurumi surveyed the platform and checked the time. Not too much longer until it was time to board the train, right? The platform was getting more and more crowded by the minute, another indication that it was almost time to board the train and that summer had officially ended. "
It was no problem at all," she smiled, not noticing his glance towards her badge. "
Well, that certainly would have been a terrible waste, you just standing there looking at the wall. I would have missed getting to know Vanilla too." Yep, kitty earned itself another few scratches behind the ears.
"
So, Lewis...what year are you?" Blunt and without any sort of filtering system or smooth transition between conversations, typical Kurumi.
