So was flying basically... "I think I've flown once..... OH THANK YOU! We should be BEST FRIENDS! I've never had a best friend before! Well... Not one that was a human." Ellie and Laci... Best friends? GALLOPING ZEBRAS! This is amazing.
Her whole family.
"Oh. Does that mean you have siblings there, too? Or just grandparents?" It was odd, but the more they talked about it, the less crazy of an idea living in a circus seemed. In fact, it almost seemed normal by now. Just as normal as someone coming from the States or a completely Muggle family or something.
Ellie bit her lip.
"And what part to the peanuts play?" Maybe they were wedged under the bowling ball to keep it from rolling? How they aided the dancing and painting, though, was beyond her.
"I don't know. I think the sorting can be wrong sometimes," she shrugged. Ellie shouldn't be in Ravenclaw, for example. Although she did get decent OWL grades...MORE than decent OWL grades, they convinced her mother more than herself that she belonged in her House.
She's only flown ONCE? She blinked at Laci. She was about to go on, suggesting when they should have these Quidditch lessons, when Laci mentioned 'best friend'. A simple phrase that scared Ellie. Only because it made her think of Lola Jones, asking to be best friends straight away. Though, Lola was much more...demanding in her requests. And...not one that was human? Was that what Laci said? Ellie offered a friendly smile,
"Sure, we can be friends..." Mhhm. And they'll see where that goes.
It would be nice, though, a best friend...that wasn't a boy.
