Family was nice but they could be stiffling after a while.
Listening to her talk about getting on her father's goodside through quidditch, he wondered if it would really work. However at her quick coverup of her compliment on his skills, Gideon bit back a laugh. "Is that so, Miss Skylar?" he questioned with raised eyebrow and crossed arms. "Well Cap-tain...don't let the title swell your head too much," he teased. Sure he was quite proud of her and her accomplishment but that didn't mean he had to be easy with her about it.
Selina chuckled lightly at his deep inhale and exhale. However, it was the words that he said after that stopped her chuckle a little short. He was so right. She could not wait to just resume being in a relationship that was theirs and not having to worry about others constantly intruding. Besides, their relationship was harmless to say the least. The two of them were friends first and a couple second, which undoubtabley made things easier on the pair of them,
"Yeah I know what you mean. At least we have school to save us from the constant state of vigilance."
When he called her by her maiden name she crossed her arms with a smirk and raised her eyebrow,
"Why yes it is, Mr. Gert." Then he told her to not let the Captain badge get to her head and she swatted his arm with her hand and said,
"Oh please you know I won't, Gertie." She stuck her tongue out at him.
