Edric looked positively shocked by this new discovery. Who would've thought someone was out there chasing him and trying to kill him?! He thought he was a perfectly likable guy… wasn't he?
As Adeline explained she was actually trying to save his life, the boy raised an eyebrow. "And how do I know you're not lying?" he asked. "And who's trying to kill me, anyways? I don't remember killing anyone's dog or anything…" muttered the boy. 'Cause seriously, why would anyone want to kill him? The boy still thought this was all really happening, but he was completely puzzled by the enemy's intentions.
All he knew for sure was that he was simply too young to die!
