She placed her hand on her hip. "Yes, I do." she said with a wide grin. She looked at Adeline out of the corner of her eye. She heard that, right? That she knew him well. Not random!girl.
She blinked. Ice cream shop? He got ice cream with someone else?! That was not how best friends worked! They hadn't even said goodbye when he went out shopping! He was making new ice cream friends before saying goodbye to old ones!

"So... Holiday... are you like us? Muggleborn?" she asked. Or was she always a witch? As in... did she have anyone else to talk to? Because Anya really wanted to have her words with Alec.
She blinked. "What? You know Asher tooooo?!" Gee whiz! Alec was busy making friends, wasn't he? She then turned her eyes on Asher. So Asher just liked talking about brooms?
Did everyone just repeat themselves when it came to her? Alec made a new ice cream friend and Asher made a broom friend.
She took a deep breath. She needed to CALM DOWN. She was getting way too worked up. Maybe Alec... just liked ice cream. Okay, she knew that. And Asher... well, if they were in a broom shop that would obviously be the topic of conversation.
Alec grinned. Anya really did know him very well. A little too well at times. It was hard hiding things from someone you've grown up with. Especially when that someone was Anya Phillips.
"Now... when do i get to see you modelling your school clothes for me?" he asked, smiling at the girl. She had bought school clothes along with her hadn't she?
Oh... Maybe they could be in the same house. Different rooms and everything but... according to the Ministry man, there were houses at this castle. So if him and Anya were in the same ones, he could talk to her even more. And maybe find out why she was looking at him and Adeline weirdly. He hadn't done anything. All he had done was have ice cream with his new found friend. That's all.
"Yeah..." he said, "We bumped into each other in that broom shop in Diagon Alley." Really, had Anya been listening to him? "How was the meeting with your brother?" Or whatever it was. He didn't know too much about what Mister Carter did.
Alec frowned at Anya. There was something wrong with her. There must be! She wasn't usually like this. Usually she was... normal. Crazy, but normal. "Anya, is everything okay?" he asked, looking down at the girl carefully. She can't be upset now, could she?
