Smirking at Anya's enthusiasm, she gave Carter a look. It was always interesting for her to see them interact. It definitely gave her more insight into Carter Phillips himself...Not that he was overly complex.
Well, not to her, anyway.
Anya was having trouble letting go of her muggle friends and not being able to say anything to them about this vast magical world they'd lived in. Marilyn herself had never had this problem, of course. She had no muggle friends.
Carter was giving her a look, which had her silently laughing. SUFFER, Carter Phillips...
For Anya's sake, only, she stepped forward. She had to urge to mother the girl...which seemed to be getting stronger these days.
"You're going into a brand new school where things are going to be scary and exciting around every corner. With all the magical adventures you'll be having, there won't be time to think about muggle things..." Reaching forward, she hugged the girl.
"Remember, you can owl me if you need anything. No matter how big or small it might be." Grinning at the younger girl...Marilyn kissed her cheek.
Glancing back up to Carter, she smirked.
"Your brother, too...You can always owl him...not that he'll be much help."
