Jake and I have talked about how sad it really was to make Annie and Drew not able to have at least their third child. But, it ocurred to Jake, that they would consider adoption. You have the results here. Enjoy...and bring a box of kleenex. Kidding...this will be really exciting.

Adele

The little two year old had spent two whole weeks with the Sparks during summer. It was probably the best days that any child longing for a family would ever want, and a family wanting one more smiley face in their family picture, one more person to love and share their life with. And their family secret along...but that would take a few years to develop...

Drew and Annie sat down, next to each other, holding hands and smiling to the child services counselor. This was going to be the last interview of uncountable piles of paperwork and checking they had to go through. Even a family psychologist had to see each one by one, just to check if there was nothing that could harm a child like Adele. Because Adele, was the most precious little girl, the sweetest, yet the not so-mild tempered one. Her parents had died in a car accident, a few months after her first birthday. She would call Annie or Drew like her real parents' name at times, but she knew that now, the Sparks were to be her new family, that she was sure to go home with them.

"Well, Mister and Mrs. Sparks...there is nothing else to ask. Adele is all yours, to love...to care for, she's your daughter now." Miss Theresa smiled wide to them, as she handed out the certificate of adoption and other papers all in a yellow envelope. "Adele can come in, Mason..." She told one of the prefects of the place, and he opened the door wide as Adele stood there, looked at Annie and Drew for a minute, and with a giggle, ran to give them a hug.

Both parents felt that same excitement as when a new child is born from them. They really felt Adele was hers, all along. Back home, everything was set for the little girl to move in; the room, some toys, old ones that were left behind by Alexis and TJ and a new three space couch were the new additions to the upcoming child.

Once back home, and as Drew and Annie took Adele out of the car seat, Alexis, now 16 and TJ started whispering from the inside of the house. The window frames were down and the lights out, something weird since there was always someone in the house. Once Annie opened the door, a big call of SURPRISE and WELCOME TO THE FAMILY! made Adele giggle.
