“Simon! There’s a letter here for you!”
Hearing the voice of his mother calling for his attention, Simon looked up from his reading before moving to head downstairs to see what it was about. There perched on the kitchen counter was an official-looking school owl getting a treat. He took the letter from it, his name scrolled across it in cursive handwriting.
Opening it up, the future sixth year nearly dropped the parchment in his hand when a shiny red badge became visible within its folds. His eyes wide, he read the letters written in gold across it.
Captain? Me?!
