Nikolas looked at her, almost pleading to forgive him "Would you for-" but he stopped because what Jade said took him aback. Her family didn't wanted them to be together? He raised an eyebrow in disbelief "Are you serious? Why?" he asked her. Has he done something wrong? Her family didn't like him?
Okay, so he was bringing up good points. She did remember how he stood up for her before they were dating, it just seemed a lot different when they were at the feast. But even if Nikolas was still friends with Selena, she would still hate that weird girl no matter what.
"I'm sorry, too. I guess I overreacted, but there was a lot on my mind." She sighed. Her frustration just got to her.
He was about to say something but she held her breath as he stopped. She knew he wouldn't like what she had said, but she had to tell him.
"You've met my parents and they really like you, well I guess back then." She said, looking over at him. She ran a hand through her hair and looked down at the ground that way she wouldn't cry.
"They said that since they weren't happy that I didn't deserve to be either." She said, her voice cracking. She didn't understand her parents, how mean they could be.
