There was a lot of things going out there due to the constant noise he was hearing and a lot of people talking. Nikolas looked at the door and watched as some younger students passed by and then back at the window. He was feeling hungry maybe not that hungry, but he wanted candy right now. But before he could take his wallet out of his pocket, the door opened and someone walked in. Jade. "Uh...sure" he replied but she was already sitting. Nikolas stared at her in silence and opened his mouth to say, "I'm sorry" he didn't looked away from her. "I'm sorry for what happened in the feast, I know I should have said something but... just that..." he paused "I don't know" he rubbed the back of his neck.
While Jade was looking out the window she heard him begin to speak and she looked over at him. He apologized but how did he not know what to say?
"Do you agree with her?" She asked him, obviously hurt.
"Do you agree with everything that she said? Because usually I would think at least my best friend would stand up for me if he didn't believe it." She was confused, very confused. It was true though, that she was mean to Selena, only because she was mean to her. Although, what made it that Nik couldn't even stand up for her?
She shook her head and looked out the window once more as she saw the line of people heading onto the train. It was time to go home and this might be the last time she could see Nikolas until the next year.
"My family doesn't want us to be together." She said, afraid to look at him.
