She had grown to really love and respect the fifth year before her and she wanted her to know that.
Offering a small smile, she wiped her tears and returned the small hug to her captain. "I'm just being a silly girl right now." She needed to be strong and it really wasn't a time for tears. When she thought back on this moment, she wanted to remember the happy moments and not the sadness that she felt. Her time there wasn't all that terrible. There had been amazing moments and she did remember that there were moments where she couldn't wait to leave and start her new life. She just felt so conflicted at the moment though.
Wiping more of her tears away, she smiled brightly for her captain. "Bring both of those cups back to our house for me and all the alumni. We will always be the best, but having the cups back where they belong would be great. Winning isn't EVERYTHING, but it's nice to win something. Don't make me come back here and show those ickie firsties what it really means to be a Ravenclaw. We aren't the bad things that the other houses might think us, we are better and we need to show them that. I'm just sorry that I didn't live up to the awesomeness of the seventh years before me, but at least I tried my best for you all. Keep the true 'claw spirit living and make sure there are more EPIC Ravenclaw parties too."
Their parties were the things of legend and every 'claw should get to experience a few in there time there.
Glancing back and forth from Carter and Ellie, she smiled. "Well, Carter it looks like you will have yourself a mini fan club there for you this summer."

Merlin, why were there so many awesome people leaving this term? Vashti offered a little smile and wave in case they looked in her direction. She'd go over to them once she was done saying good-bye talking to Caroline.

He just... was too overwhelmed with the fact that he was leaving. He'd be on the Hogwarts Express for the last time tomorrow. And tonight was the last night he'd ever spend up in the Gryffindor tower.
Okay. Happy thoughts. Happy thoughts. He needed to think happy thoughts. Like... how everyone promised to visit him. That was something to look forward to. "Same here." he said with a nod. He was excited to see everyone again. It made leaving the castle much less... devastating...
Yes, Ellie agreed. Mina was being a very silly girl. Crying and whatnot. It wasn't necessary.
"No, you're not. It's completely understandable." There was a fine line between fibbing and lying. Ellie walked it like a Pro.
Both the cups? Ellie only really wanted one. The Quidditch Cup was all she truly cared about. Yet, it was
Mina and she was crying and everything and Ellie just wanted her to be alright.
"I'll try. I'll do you one better and try for all three." Cause she was pretty good at Gobstones.
And Mina was wrong by at least one ickle thing.
"You surpassed the awesomeness, Mina." Or at LEAST matched it. The Seventh years before Mina that Ellie knew weren't any better than her. Which, weren't many, but STILL.
Also, she'll try for cool Ravenclaw parties. But everyone knows that without Becca and Nia and Jacob, parties aren't anywhere near epic. It was just impossible. Unfortunately.
She turned to Carter. Who...could have a seat, you know.
"I'll let you know who I end up playing for." Nod. Though, he probably wouldn't hear about that for...a long time. Because Ellie had no idea yet, and had at least another year to decide. So...he could wait. Hopefully he was patient. Or didn't care enough. That worked as well.
"When's the first game you're playing in?" Ellie could try and go to
that one. Among many others. But his first would be especially awesome.
Vashti's wave was seen from the corner of Ellie's eye. And returned. They...the Ravenclaw team...from Ellie's first term, which was her favorite team ever no offense to the current, should all get together this summer. It needed to happen.

"How about you?" He wasn't going to ask about Quidditch; she might lecture him about not going to the games. And he already felt bad about not knowing first-hand how Ravenclaw did in the championship, or lack there-of. He really had no idea.

And it was then that Ellie J. realized that she had never really been introduced to many of Dallin's friends. Dallin had met Chandler and Zayden and Mia, but Ellie hadn't ever met his friends. Like Ellie S. And Treyen. Welp. Oh well?

As for his smirk, Louisa chuckled sincerely but made it look like a forced one, "See, miss girlfriend? You're spoiling him. He can't contain his pop star smirk anymore." Because if she hadn't told him they were talking about him, his head wouldn't be a balloon of ego right about now.
...and miss Captain joined them. And waved! Louisa waved back a little bit too enthusiastically. Many reasons for that; first off she looked quite normal, unlike the previous one, there were no scribbles on her arms- well, the little of her arms that Louisa could see anyway, she did have a rather friendly tone to her voice when she spoke, AND she didn't hold her bat and waved it around at younger students' heads. So yeah, she was cool.
"Hi." Still grinning at her. "Nice Quidditch season." Because they hadn't won the season and Louisa wasn't really sure what to say to miss Captain- staying silent was not her thing of course.
Ellie J. looked quite.. awkward. The younger Ravenclaw didn't miss that, and she made a mental note to investigate later. Maybe sooner than later too.
Studying.
Gross.
Must they talk about such a horrid subject? Really, Dallin.
"Same," her voice clearly showed her distaste,
"OWLs were worse than I imagined. And I imagined like...something really awful. I'm surprised I survived. I'm surprised I can still think for myself. I'm surprised my brain hasn't melted." And oozed out her ears and nose and eyes. Honestly, she would
not have been surprised if that happened. It FELT like any minute, she'd just not have a brain anymore. If that made sense.
"Any summer plans?" Summer was a MUCH better chit-chat subject, by the way.
Her eyes went between the two girls. They were awfully quiet. Ellie never thought Ellie J. looked like a quiet one. But...seemed she was. Her summer question could go to her, too, if she wanted to answer. Same with the dark-haired girl.
Oh, hey, maybe...
"I'm Ellie, by the way." In case they didn't know. Just because she knew Ellie J., didn't mean the girl knew
her. And the younger one Ellie didn't know at all, so... Introductions were good.
But then the other girl piped up. About Quidditch, no less.
"Eh." That summarized the Ravenclaw season, she thought.
"Next term will be better." She nodded. Optimistic. But Ellie usually got optimistic at the end of term, when she realized that she could practice ALL summer, uninterrupted by studies. It was a great realization. And Ellie was EXCITED.
And then...Ellie J. had a banner over her head. One had grazed her own shoulder, too. Erm....
Maybe a Hufflepuff had gotten upset about the Slytherin win and decided to redecorate?
Who knew. It was easy for her to brush off, though.
