And I ought to know, I used to be a private investigator before I came here." It was always nice to know what kind of experience the person you were working with had. Hopefully it would be enough to assure Miss Bass that she had a good idea of what she was doing.

"Especially when we've got a lot of ground to cover," she added. It was hard to be fast, efficient, and thorough by yourself.
