Presley had known that. But it was much easier to be the one leaving than the one left behind. Now she really hoped she was allowed to skip up, otherwise it was one more year at school without her best friend.
She smiled just a little when Luna agreed that they'd always be best friends. She was going to miss that girl a lot. Presley knew fully well just how it felt when someone dropped out of her life. She wasn't going to let it be the same with Luna. It would be as if Luna had graduated. They would still see each other and keep in constant contact. Presley looked excitedly at the present Luna pulled out. Best friends. They were and always would be. Presley couldn't imagine finding a better friend than Luna.
"Oh I love it Lune!!" She gasped, fingering the necklace. It was perfect.
"If I'd known you were going, I'd have gotten you something too. I'll just have to pick something up next week in Diagon Alley."
Luna didn't think that present was just perfect? Because Pres sure did.
"Oh, no, I love it! You don't have to get me anything else." Presley hugged her friend tightly, thinking about how little they would be able to see each other this summer, what with Presley's crazy schedule. But she could see her those four days she would be at Leo's. She could skip over to Luna's place or Luna could come visit her, and then Pres would be off for a summer of adventure. And she would come back, ready to tell her best friend everything, but she would be in Ireland. At a different school, learning different things. Presley didn't know yet how she would handle that, but when the time came, she was sure she could do it.
