Nate bit his lip, almost like Jez did so often. "Well... Funny story... Wait, didn't we already tell you about what happened in the Room of Requirement a few weeks ago? I could've sworn you knew what happened there..." he mumbled. He really had set himself up for that, though.

Jez was glad Jayden was coming back - after the earlier tension, she found liked the girl. She smiled when Jayden suggested a group shopping trip. "That would be great, but I'll be in America for a large majority of these holidays. I'm staying with Nate and Pam," she explained. Speaking of Pam ... where was she? Jez glanced around for her friend, but not seeing her, returned to the conversation.
"That's a really pretty necklace," she commented, pointing at Jayden's neck. "Let me guess, Cael got it for you? He knows his way around jewellery, I see."
Nate looked over at Jez, confused. "Why
do I have a headache? Last thing I remember is seeing Pam's..."
Ghosts. he finished in his head. Jayden didn't need to hear that, and unless Pam decided to tell her, Nate wasn't going to go telling anybody about it.
