"No...It's just, um...warm in here," he said, tugging at his shirt collar. Then she continued talking. Without thinking, he picked up his cup and took a large sip.

Yeah, his mouth was too busy to talk. He was relieved when she skipped over to his topic. Phew. "I don't have siblings," he said, setting the cup down again. Was she changing the topic? Yes. Thank goodness. "That's great..." he said, but stopped when Harlow approached them. Woohoo for interruptions!

"Hi, Harlow," he smiled. For a minute there Kennedy was sure the young snake was hiding from Sierra. Maybe she pointed out her blushing too? He looked from one girl to the other. Or maybe they didn't know each other? "Sierra this is Harlow, Harlow this is Sierra," he introduced both of them.
Harlow smiled up at Kennedy and held onto his leg for protection.

One could never be too cautious around Sierra. "Hi Kennedy." she told him with a slight not. She giggled once he introduced them to each other. "Oh I know Sierra already." Harlow told. Knew her better than she really wanted to know. Spitting in someone'd hand was way too much information for Harlow.

"Yeah, it is getting sort of hot in here," she agreed, especially since she'd been out on the pitch playing the game.

"I have one...and a half," she said. It was sort of weird referring to Alex as her half-sibling, but the truth was the truth. "My sister is older with a family of her own, and my brother goes to school here. You may know him--a Hufflepuff named Alex?" Or maybe he didn't. Alex didn't really get out much. She may have said something else, but a tiny movement just behind Kennedy caught her eye.

"Yeah, I know Harlow," she said. After all, the girl was on the Quidditch team and had played a few of the games with Sierra. "She's on the team, too." Oh, and there was that little episode with Tori Bunbury at the beginning of the school year. Harlow had been there for that, too. "We've run into one another a time or two," she added. "How ya been, Harlow?"
Harlow nodded, "Yeah I played chaser." she announced happily. And some for someone smaller than a 8 year old that was a feat. "A time or two." she echoed. She could only remember the one time officially meeting Sierra.

She looked at the older Slytherin with wide eyes. She was actually being nice to her. Her hands flew up to her hair to make sure she hadn't spit anything in there while she was talking. "I'm fine. Just looking forward to going home is all." Yep, she wanted to be back in her own room. With a bed made for normal sized people and not the giants that Hogwarts thinks their students ought to be. "How are you?" That was only nice that she return the pleasantries.
