He momentarily paused when she asked if he played Quidditch, but then continued to move. "I, um, no...but I love watching it," he said. "But I do fly." He's never actually played the game, being that barely discovered Quidditch this term. He's read about it and watched it, but he hasn't had the opportunity to play it. He didn't even know you could play Quidditch on your own. How does that even work?
The boy had just finished his first sandwich when she asked for his name. Great, he forgot about introductions, again. He should just buy himself a tag that said, "Hello, my name is Kennedy". Problem solved. He placed the plate on the table and cleaned his hands on a napkin. "Kennedy...Kennedy Escalante. Yours?" he said, extending his hand to her.
As she took a second bite out of her sandwich, Sierra looked at the boy with one raised eyebrow. He wanted to eat five sandwiches?! That wasn't a growing boy--that was a growing mountain troll!
"Erm, do you want to eat five sandwiches?" she asked. Or was just wondering what would happen if so? She shrugged.
"I guess I wouldn't mind then either. I mean, you look..." She paused, grew slightly wide-eyed, then looked down at her sandwich.
"...pretty fit for a...how old are you now?" He didn't look like he needed to stay away from five sandwiches.
"Oh," she said, when he admitted to not playing Quidditch.
"You should." I mean, you eat six hundred sandwiches a day! She grew quiet as she ate a little more of her sandwich and finished the punch. She tossed her plate and cup into the bin and turned back to the boy.
"Well, Kennedy, I'm Sierra," she said. She looked down at his hand. Hmm... He seemed harmless. She reached out and enclosed her tiny hand around his and gave it a shake.
