Smiling at the woman's response, Helena nodded. "Likewise, it was nice meeting you, too." She watched the woman leave before turning back to Gavin. How much, if anything, had Ryan told his friend? Hopefully he knew something... Helena was getting much too large around the middle to be able to hide her pregnancy for much longer...

The blonde figured she'd just have to ask - somehow. "So... Have you spoken to Ryan recently? ... Given everything that's been going on?"

Gavin grinned in return of Helena's smirk and remark. "All you can hope for," he remarked himself knowing just how true it was when dealing with the older man. Ryan trying anything that another human being wanted was an accomplishment being a stubborn Ravenclaw that he was. He nodded in echo of the unfamiliar woman as she excused herself from the conversation and left the two aquaintances alone.

"We are well," he answered. "Quite interesting though that we spend more time apart as a married couple then we did as friends and while dating," the reminscator added truthfully. It simply made them appreciate their time together...and alone all that much more in the long run. Gavin thought about her question, his mind admitting to himself that he hadn't really spent any long amount of time with his best friend...the office head just as busy as himself. "Only in passing," he admitted making a mental note to maybe make a stop by either at office or flat since he still had the key.

"Everything thats going o--" he repeats looking at her with a mixture of confusion and curiousity until it clicks in his head about why she appeared different. "You're pregnant?" It wasn't as if he wasn't able to see it now that he thought of what to pay attention to...Ryan himself had helped sharpen that ability. He just needed the confirmation because the belief in it happening was still slim in Gavin's mind. The thought of it all was reeling there.
