Orr watched the magic swirl around Ginger nervously. She couldn't yet see what was hatching because of all the magic covering it.
As she started at the egg, the magic strands started to get thick and formed cracks all around the shell of the egg. Orr held her breath as the shell gently but quickly broke apart leaving the parts of the shell separate from each other.
Whatever was in the egg was still partial covered by the broken shell pieces but Orr could hear a soft
"ribbit" and she lifted some of the shell off to discover...
A small silver frog who was curled into itself as if it didn't want to see the world just yet.
Orr carefully picked it up with both hands and made an
"aww" sound as she did so,
"Hello little one."
As she lifted the frog out of her lap, she noticed a little note
Quote:
Inside your egg is a frog. He's charmed and mechanical and will jump around a bit in quite an endearing manner but really what his speciality is is water purification. The charms on this frog will make any water drinkable and clean, and furthermore as long as you carry the wee frog on you, you'll find that cleaning charms are just a little bit easier to use. Also if you get bored its pretty fun to just let him go hop around and try to catch him again. At least while the charms last.
"Oh wow, so you can help me with cleaning charms. That is really cool. I think that I'll call you Mundus, Latin for 'Clean'."
Orr got up still holding Mundus and went up to Prof. Schirmer.
"Professor, thank you for a wonderful project. See you next year." She said as she cuddled Mundus to her chest and headed out the classroom.
