Sierra reread the information she'd gathered, taking note of the fact, once again, that all she needed to do now was add in the core and then make the wand a bit more unyielding. Add in the core... Hmm. How in the name of Merlin was she meant to stuff a dragon heartstring into this twig?! Scabs was mental.

...unless. Wasn't there a spell they'd been taught that would hollow out the center of the wand? Sierra tapped her fingers silently on the table before her while she thought about the spell. Finally, she picked up the twig and aimed her wand right toward the end of it. "Defodio!" she said. The end of the wand sort of caved in as the hollow space was created. Sierra peered through the hole, deciding that yes, it was big enough for her to stuff the dragon heartstring inside. She put the wand down and went to the front to retrieve a dragon heartstring out of the container. Once she had it in her hand, she headed back to her wand to begin putting the core inside.

She laid the dragon heartstring carefully into the hollow area, making double sure it wasn't wadded up or about to tear. When she was satisfied with it, she stood back and looked at her creation. Well, she couldn't just leave the ends open like that, could she? Hmm...
