Lilly ran up to the owlery, panting. She flicked back her hair, and pulled an owl treat from her pocket. She gave it to a snowy owl, telling him to take it to Rupert Weasley, in London. Lilly had written her new guardian a letter:
She tied it to the owls tiny leg, petting it's feathery head. She wanted an owl, but she had a kitten already, Pearl. They were really sweet. And useful.
