15. Room

As soon as Reid entered the room he broke into sobs. He would have accused his parents of lying to him if he hadn’t felt the pain. Pain that was intensified by being in their old bedroom.

The room was painted blue and stuffed toys covered the shelves, some lying on his brother’s bed. This room was filled with memories, and was clearly meant to accommodate two rambunctious little boys.

Something it would never do again.

Reid sobbed in the room that had been his and his brothers, because his brother was dead, and Reid’s world had been irrevocably shattered.
