So, he just nodded at her to ensure that there was going to be no more pushing. ''Now...forget about whose fault it is...'' if only he had the necessary stuff in here. ''...i don't remember the bandage spell and i don't want to take that risk anyway since i am not the greatest when it comes to magic. So...''
...the touch on his cheek made him halt for it...raised lots of emotions inside him. First of all; his deeper wish to be loved. Dark brown eyes widening a bit, he looked at her feeling all...weird. Desperate much? ''Am i?'' he asked with a little and shy smile when she said he was amazing.
Then he cleared his throat carefully placed her leg down on the floor. He needed to focus on what he was supposed to do. Now...this was the 'Room of Requirement', right? Whatever they needed was supposed to appear there somewhere unless it was food. Leaving his shirt at where it used to be then he looked around and...YES!!! There was a kit.
Smiling a bit for he was glad to find that one there, Josh picked the first aid kit up and sat on the floor back to the same spot. ''Since we have this, it will be all better. I'll do my best to deal with the pain.'' Now it was the time to do this and do this right. Opening the kit the first thing he looked was for a cold spray. His smile turned into a content one when he saw it there. ''Now this will feel a little bit...cold. But it'll help with the pain.'' Taking her leg back on his lap, he carefully applied the cold spray on her ankle and up back of her leg. Then he dropped it back, picked up the bandage instead and started to work on the bandaging progress. ''We are almost done. Feeling better?''
Cassie shook her head and bit her lip fighting back the tears that were threatening to roll down her cheeks once again. She was trying to not appear so weak and girly all the time. Surely she could do without crying over a twisted or broken ankle..whatever it was."
But..it is my fault Josh...I should have listened to you.."
Cassie nodded and smiled at him, blinking and causing a lone tear to roll down her cheek. Hopefully that was the last of her water works for the evening. She tilted her head slightly and looked at him. Why did he question that? Surely he was told that often enough.
"Yes Josh, you are...probably the most amazing boy in our year" Way to stroke his ego Cassie. But Josh needed a little pick me up..he deserved it.
She flinched every now and then as Josh worked on her ankle but at least she wasn't crying. It made her feel absolutely proud of herself. Her eyes squeezed shut as he began applying the cold spray, but it didn't take her long to realize that it really wasn't that bad. It was the bandaging bit that hurt. She occasionally grabbed at Josh's hand but before time he was almost done. She nodded when he asked if she was feeling better. That cold spray stuff seemed to be working, almost as good as magic.
"yeah much better, thank you Josh." She leaned over and kissed his cheek.
