Post 2 (making the hippogriff nervous) Dancing Through Life
Presley offered the ferret to the smaller-sized hippogriff, and had to look away from it, not wanting to see it barbarically eat another animal. She looked back to see the bird-horse with it's head coccked curiously to one side, and maybe a little suspiciously. Presley regained eye contact, and resolved to stay that way for a while, just in case it decided not to trust her anymore.
Tentatively she reached out, and put her small hand on it's beak. It moved slightly, like horses did in trying to shake off a fly, and Presley drew her hand back. What if it was angry with her? She stepped back, and curtsied to it, keeping eye contact still. Now that she knew it had bowed back to her the first time, she was less hesitant to try her curtsy. However, the hippogriff didn't seem to know what she was doing, and it just stared.
